What happens to comments and anchors?

Comments are not part of the JSON data. Supported aliases are resolved; this tool limits aliases to reduce excessive expansion.

Can I use application-specific YAML tags?

Custom tags are not supported by the JSON-compatible schema and produce an error.

Will dates become JavaScript date objects?

The JSON schema keeps date-like text as strings rather than converting it to Date objects. Review the generated JSON for your application.
